2026 FaW TOKYO AUTUMN
From October 7 to 9, 2026, RFinCharge showcased its Weave Tag RFID Textile Laundry Tag at FaW TOKYO Autumn in Tokyo. Under the theme “Soft Technology Hidden in Clothing—Soft, Lightweight RFID Labels That Attach Directly to Garments,” the exhibit demonstrated how technology can be seamlessly integrated into apparel.
With a simple NFC tap using a smartphone, consumers can access product information, Digital Product Passports (DPPs), and after-sales services, creating more opportunities for ongoing engagement with brands.
Conventional paper hangtags and care labels have limited space for printed information. Hangtags are typically discarded after purchase, while printed care instructions may fade with repeated wear and washing. Once these labels are gone or become difficult to read, consumers can lose access to essential product details.
Made from soft, lightweight materials, Weave Tag can be discreetly placed inside garments or integrated with fabric brand labels. Designed to withstand washing and tumble drying, it helps preserve a garment’s identity throughout its use. With a simple tap of an NFC-enabled smartphone, consumers can access digital content through Weave Tag, keeping product information and brand services within reach long after purchase.
A Digital Product Passport serves as a product’s digital identity and history. It can provide information such as where a garment was made, the origin of its raw materials, its material composition, and washing and care instructions. Brands can also include designer profiles and the stories behind their products. By connecting physical garments with digital information, Weave Tag supports DPP applications and can provide access to product authentication, after-sales services, and recycling guidance, extending the value of product information beyond the point of sale.
To bring these applications to life, the exhibit featured a range of samples with integrated Weave Tags, including caps, sports jerseys, backpacks, and shoes. Mobile app and website demonstrations showed how consumers can access digital product records, after-sales services, and other useful content. The exhibit also outlined how Weave Tag can be implemented across the supply chain, retail, and recycling stages, helping visitors understand how RFID can connect different phases of the product lifecycle.
In addition to its main booth, RFinCharge was honored to receive a special display opportunity in the “Discover What’s NEW” Gallery at the West Exhibition Hall – Central Atrium. This provided another opportunity for visitors to discover Weave Tag’s material qualities and explore how textile labels can connect products with digital services.
Through physical samples and digital demonstrations, RFinCharge gave visitors a closer look at Weave Tag—from its soft texture and integration options to practical use cases. The exhibit offered brands a tangible starting point for exploring RFID applications in apparel and textile products.
